Product overview

Watching a child struggle with any kind of mental, emotional or behavioural challenge can be a heart-wrenching experience for any parent. But when your normally bright, happy, and well-adjusted child seems to change suddenly, virtually overnight and apparently out-of-the-blue, it can be both traumatic and devastating. This is the reality for parents coping with the aftermath of a PANS or PANDAS diagnosis in their child. But there is hope, and this comprehensive guide will light the way.

What you will learn
  • Understand the underlying triggers and core drivers of these often misdiagnosed and misunderstood neuroimmune conditions
  • Discover actionable strategies to tackle underlying factors to effectively support your own child
  • Feel empowered and hopefully with the guidance of a renowned integrative naturopathic physician and fellow parent supporting her own twin sons diagnosed with these debilitating conditions.
What is PANS & PANDAS?

PANS, and its subcategory condition of PANDAS, are paediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndromes that may be triggered by environmental or pathogenic toxins that provoke a highly disordered immune and neurological response. It results in changes to the way the brain works, thinks, processes information, and how it feels. These conditions demonstrate with devastating clarity how a physical problem can manifest as alienating and isolating behavioural and mental health changes.

Hope and help are at hand

In her quintessential easy-to-read style, Dr Crista shines a light on these frequently under-recognised conditions, bringing validity to how mental health and physical health are entwined. As a mother of twin-boys affected by PANS and a renowned educator and integrative clinician, Dr Crista brings both empathy and hope together with an actionable programme to address these challenging health issues. As a must-read for parents desperate for answers to support the healthy functioning of their child, this book serves as an invaluable resource of much-needed guidance and support to move parents beyond fear to mastery of the practical, real-world strategies that effect positive change.

This is an amazing resource for anyone trying to heal their child/loved one/themselves from PANDAS/PANS. It’s so thoughtfully organized and I am already marking pages, taking notes, and referring to it constantly. It’s full of usable information and the explanations are easy to understand and helpful.

This is my FAVORITE book I have read on treating and understanding PANS/PANDAS so far. As a PANS patient I have read many as I attempt to learn all I can and this was a wonderful wealth of information. Plus, it had detailed, yet easy to understand and apply, explanations with practical advice from an experienced naturopathic doctor who dealt with this condition with her own twin sons. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone dealing with PANS/PANDAS or for anyone that wants to learn more about these conditions and what to be aware of and on the lookout for. Also, a great resource for practitioners to have on hand. Thank you Dr. Crista, for taking the time to bring us such a great book! I know this book will benefit many people going through PANS/PANDAS, I know it has me!
